Hydrogen Scenario Workshop explores future pathways for aluminium and steel industries
What role could hydrogen play in the future of aluminium and steel industries?
Last month, the HyInHeat project brought together experts from the aluminium, steel and hydrogen sectors, alongside researchers and policy stakeholders, for a Hydrogen Scenario Workshop in Brussels.
Through interactive discussions, including a world café and breakout sessions, participants explored how hydrogen could support the transition of energy-intensive industries under different global conditions.
The workshop focused on:
- key challenges and risks
- opportunities for hydrogen adoption
- enabling conditions for industrial transformation
The insights gathered will directly feed into the ongoing scenario development and modelling work within the HyInHeat project.
