Can you shortly introduce yourself and your role in the HyInHeat project?

I am Director of R&D Metals, Combustion & Energy in EMEA at Linde Technology and Linde’s primary contact person in HyInHeat.

How did Linde Technology get involved in the HyInHeat project?

Over the last 5 years we have focused our development in the field of fossil free heating and melting through hydrogen oxyfuel with emphasis on demonstration. When the project was introduced to us, we saw a great fit with our goals.

How do you see the added value of HyInHeat for Linde Technology?

To achieve both deeper and broader knowledge in the hydrogen fuel conversion path and by an improved networking making it happen sooner and with less effort.

What is the role of Linde Technology in the HyInHeat project?

Our role is mainly support to the demonstrators on practical aspects of installation and performance evaluation of hydrogen oxyfuel.

What do you hope to achieve by the end of the project?

A broad common understanding, and ideally consensus, in academia and the industry on where of the main hurdles lie realizing fossil free industrial heating and melting as a basis for EU and local regulatory organs to make legislations to facilitate the transition in eg safety and emissions regulations and directives.
